ABOUT PHEMTRONICS
PHEMTRONICS Reconfigurability by plasmonic-phase-change materials establishes a new line of adaptive broadband technology at the femto- time and energy scales.

PHEMTRONICS research is foundational in three ways:
  1. Novel phase change material platform, exploring phase changes in <2D dimensionality;
  2. Novel active plasmonic platform that is by itself phase-change, based on phase-change gallium nanostructures (differently from the passive gold or silver platform)
  3. Reconfigurability at device level where the phase change will be plasmonically triggered, and vice versa the phase-change will modulate the plasmon resonance delivering ultrafast optical switches, reconfigurable antennas and adaptive broadband photodetectors.
